HALAL Standards Consultant

Job Description:

We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced HALAL Standards Consultant to join our team. As a HALAL Standards Consultant, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance and support to organizations seeking to comply with HALAL requirements. You will work closely with clients to assess their current practices, develop strategies for HALAL compliance, and ensure adherence to industry standards.

Responsibilities:

  1. HALAL Compliance Assessment: Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients’ products, processes, and facilities to determine their level of compliance with HALAL standards and regulations.
  2. Gap Analysis: Identify gaps between current practices and HALAL requirements, and develop action plans to address areas for improvement.
  3. Policy Development: Assist clients in developing and implementing HALAL policies, procedures, and manuals tailored to their specific industry and organizational needs.

Requirements:

  1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Islamic Studies, or a related field. Additional certifications or training in HALAL standards and regulations are preferred.
  2. Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a similar role, preferably in the food industry or with HALAL certification bodies.
  3. Knowledge: In-depth understanding of HALAL principles, requirements, and certification processes. Familiarity with relevant international standards, such as MS 1500:2009 and JAKIM’s HALAL certification guidelines, is desirable.
  4. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct thorough assessments and identify compliance issues.
